There will be 3 categories for contributions to the conference:

1. Descriptions of breeding and research programs

2. Scientific Papers

3. Forums for discussion

Each participant must at least contribute a paper for category 1. If there are several participants from the same program that may jointly write that paper. Or if the person is new to this crop, they must submit a statement of their interest.  Categories 2 and 3 are optional, but very important.


Please submit papers in Russian or English or both. The abstracts and table headings will be translated into both languages. If the authors are capable of writing in both languages, this would be ideal, but we are willing to help.  Initially we will use a computer program to translate and then the editorial board will refine the translation. If you are capable of assisting with translation, please let us know.  All articles must be submitted in electronic form to allow computer translations.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CONFERENCE

The conference will attended by leading experts, young scientists and graduate students of Russia and foreign countries, who are studying Blue Honeysuckles / Haskap. To participate, send an e-mail or letter to the editorial board on or before 10 March, 2009.

We will be emailing you an electronic receipt and an electronic copy of the proceedings.  If you need a disk or printed version of the proceedings please contact Dr. Bryksin and indicate your needs. There may be additional charges for shipping outside of Russia.  

Please note that only participants will have such a low fee for the proceedings. If the conference proceedings are printed later for others, we may have to charge more.  Payment must be received before articles will be posted.

10 March 2009: deadline for application fees and articles.  Editorial board will work on translations

23 March 2009 Conference begins

     Articles will be available for viewing. Forums will be ongoing throughout the month.  Also questions will be posted, linked to individual papers and the authors will post their answers.

23 April 2009 Conference ends. 

     Depending on the amount and type of questions asked and if the authors have the time, authors may wish to revise their papers. Otherwise, the Editorial Board will decide which questions and answers have merit and will be included in the proceedings.

     Regarding the Forums, the Editorial Board may ask for volunteers or groups of volunteers to summarize and edit the discussion forums.  Likely it will be those who asked many questions or who gave many good answers or who started a particular forum. Or member of the editorial board will take on this task.

23 May 2009 Deadline to submit revisions of papers and forum summaries. These will again need to be translated and edited by the board.

20 June 2009  

Proceedings are finalized. The electronic version will either be e-mailed out or posted to a website from which you can download it.
